Incendio® is an extremely fast and thermostable DNA polymerase isolated from a hyperthermophilic microorganism and improved by combinatorial protein engineering efforts such as directed evolution and rational design. After screening a mega-library of polymerase variants for high processivity and extension rates exceeding 4-kb min-1, our NovoHelix engineering team identified Incendio®, a breakneck enzyme that can be used in applications that require accelerated ramping & cycling conditions such as nucleic acid amplification by fast PCR.
